Upon your arrival at Cochin airport, you'll be picked up and driven to the scenic Munnar hills (130 km / approx. 4 hours). Along the way, stop to admire the Cheyyappara Waterfalls. As you continue the journey, you'll pass through vast tea plantations that blanket the hills like a green carpet, offering breathtaking views. This tranquil area, largely unpolluted and sparsely populated, is dominated by the sprawling Tata tea estates. Upon arrival in Munnar, check in at your hotel and relax. Overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 02: Munnar Sightseeing
After enjoying a delicious breakfast, set out on a sightseeing tour of Munnar.. Visit the stunning Raja Malai, one of Munnar's highest peaks, where you might spot the elusive Neel Thar (mountain goats). Other highlights include the Tea Museum, Mattupetty, and Echo Point. For those interested, you can also enjoy boating on the lake (optional). Return to the hotel to settle in for the evening.

Day 03: Munnar – Periyar
After breakfast, depart for Thekkady, home to South India's most renowned wildlife sanctuary. This lush reserve is home to a variety of wildlife, including bison, wild elephants, boars, langurs, and even the majestic Indian tiger. Upon arrival, check in at your hotel. In the afternoon, enjoy a boat cruise on the lake, providing a chance to view wildlife in its natural habitat. Later, witness a traditional Kathakali dance performance, a classical art form of Kerala. Overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 04: Periyar – Alleppey
After breakfast, proceed to Alleppey, often called the "Venice of the East." Upon arrival, check in to a houseboat for an unforgettable cruise through the narrow canals, rivers, and backwaters of Alleppey. Enjoy authentic Kerala cuisine on board. Alleppey is also known for its coir products, making it a great place for shopping. Overnight stay on the houseboat.

Day 05: Alleppey – Departure to Cochin
Relax on the houseboat in the morning, soaking in the tranquility of the peaceful backwaters. At 9:00 AM, the boat will dock at the Alleppey finishing point jetty. After breakfast, disembark from the houseboat and transfer to Cochin airport for your onward journey.

Munnar
Perched at an elevation ranging from 5,000 to 8,000 feet above sea level, Munnar is nestled at the meeting point of three mountain streams: Mudrapuzha, Nallathanni, and Kundala. This charming hill station, once the summer retreat for the British administration in South India, is renowned for its vast tea plantations, scenic villages, winding roads, and excellent holiday amenities. Its natural beauty and tranquil atmosphere make it a highly sought-after destination for travelers.

Thekkady
A haven for nature enthusiasts, Thekkady is a treasure trove of rolling hills and spice-scented plantations. Its pristine tropical forests and rich biodiversity make it a paradise for naturalists. The drive to Thekkady takes you through charming hill towns and gentle slopes lined with tea, coffee, and spice plantations, including cardamom and pepper. Thekkady is most famous for the Periyar National Park, where elephants are a major draw. The region enjoys a cool and pleasant climate, especially during the summer months.

Alleppey
Nicknamed the "Venice of the East," Alleppey is a picturesque town with leafy streets crisscrossed by a maze of canals that flow into Kerala’s expansive backwaters. As the main hub for backwater exploration, it is the starting point for most houseboat adventures and also hosts the renowned Nehru Trophy Snake Boat Race. A stop in Alleppey offers a perfect opportunity to experience the serene pace of tropical village life before embarking on a backwater cruise.
